IN COMMON (2012)

In Common is an ensemble piece in which 10 performers « dance » political systems like social choreographies.

Sharing the same stage, same language and the same set of « rules » performers find themselves in positions and problems comparable to those we are familiar with in contemporary democracies.

What we represent and how we are represented, are the crucial questions of this piece in which a series of choreographic propositions create a surprising playground for socio-political explorations.

In Common est une pièce de groupe dans laquelle dix performeurs “bougent” des systèmes politiques en s’appuyant sur les chorégraphies sociales. 

En partageant la même scène, la même langue et les mêmes “règles du jeu”, les performeurs se retrouvent dans des situations, des problèmes comparables à ceux que nous sommes habitués à vivre dans nos démocraties contemporaines. 

“Que représentons-nous ?”, “Comment sommes-nous représenté(e)s ?” sont les questions centrales de cette pièce, dans laquelle une série de propositions chorégraphiques mettent en place un surprenant terrains de jeu pour des explorations linguistiques et socio-politiques.
